Camberwell East Medical Centre
Established in 1946, this practice has treated several generations of families in the surrounding area. Dr Samaddar has been the medical centre’s attending Camberwell doctor since 2009.
Our friendly reception staff, Gari, Michelle and Yvonne have all worked in this GP clinic for many years and can assist you with appointments and enquiries.
A counselling service is provided with Linda Phillip, a trained psychotherapist.
The family doctor’s surgery is located near the intersection of Warrigal and Toorak Road. Parking is available at the rear of the surgery.
Dr Alfred Samaddar
Dr Samaddar obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualifications overseas and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
The doctor has worked in various public and private hospitals in Australia and New Zealand, completed two years Basic Surgery training with the Royal Australian College of Surgery and two years in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care. He has also worked with the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
He has worked with many different cultural and religious groups. He speaks, English, Bengali and understands Hindi and Urdu.
Dr Samaddar maintains special interests in Skin Cancers, Minor Surgery, Travel Vaccination and Age Care.
Dr Samaddar is also a Cosmetic Medical Practitioner, experienced in Non-surgical anti-wrinkle / anti-ageing skin treatment / Dermal Fillers (This service is privately billed with no Medicare rebate).
